🍺 Who is V?
I am V, better known as Verity Morley. I am also a fun twenty years old and have an obsessive love for both Harry Potter and Beyoncé, very VERY strong tea, travel, and a genuine conversation over a beer or two. I previously lived with my Mum and little Sister in Mudgee, a beautiful country town in New South Wales, Australia. Living in Mudgee definitely shaped me into the person I am today, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. In January 2016 I decided to have a gap year which would allow me to see as much of the world as I could afford before heading off to University (eight countries and counting!) I am now currently living in the gorgeous beachside city of Wollongong and studying a degree of Communications and Media at UOW! (University of Wollongong).
🍺 Why am I having a beer with her?
You don’t have to have a beer with me… Heck, I don’t even like beer… But the air surrounding having a beer with a mate or two is generally associated with kicking back and relaxing at your local pub (or at home) and exchanging thoughts and feelings about everything… Even if that includes the football you’re watching on television whilst drinking that beer.
This is part of the reason I chose to name my blog ‘Have A Beer With V,’ because I’m aiming to share my side of the conversation in the hopes you will enjoy the good times and travel experiences I have had the opportunity to pursue. The other part is just because I made myself laugh when I came up with the name whilst brainstorming ideas for this blog.
🍺 Why a beer-themed travel and lifestyle blog?
I feel like I may have explained this above, but I’m sure explaining it a second time can’t hurt. I associate beer with being a genuine bloke. Clearly, I’m not a bloke, but honest to god I act like it sometimes. I also like to think I’m a pretty genuine person who likes to know what big plans people have in their futures, all the way down to what you had for breakfast this morning. Being nice and saying hello isn’t a sin, and neither is being interested in people and what they have to say. So just start being more like a genuine bloke and have a beer with me!
